Bob has been to Bridlington

Sunglasses at the ready, Bob has had a little trip out to Bridlington for some lovely veggie food & coffee.

This has been one of my few trips out recently and we managed to park quite near the door so I didn't have to walk far.
Our destination was The Little Organic Bakery & Crema espresso bar at No. 12 Wellington Rd,

Here we are sat in the gallery bit looking through to the outside eating area waiting in anticipation for our food.
Wow here it is, a beautiful black olive tart, herby nut & cheese roll with some delish salads.

All washed down with a Yirgacheffe pour over, absolutely lovely and great to catch up with the wonderful Wheelwright clan who run this place.

Bobs been out in his green bow tie!

Doesn't Google look good today, I love Celtic knotwork. Happy St Patrick's Day to my Irish friends.
Bob put his shamrock coloured bow tie on and we went for a spin to Bridlington this morning, good job as it rained in the afternoon.

We have been to my friends veggie bakery, The Little Organic Bakery and had a lovely feast and drinks courtesy of a christmas present voucher.

Whilst choosing cakes at the counter, I had to take a photo of this enormous pavlova, Katy who makes all her delicious offerings is more than generous with portion sizes.

I opted for a more modest lemon slice with a lovely flat white.

I also got a lovely selection of things to bring home for tea.
On the left we have black olive tart, to the right is hommity pie and at the front are a couple of herby, nut & cheese 'no meat' sausage rolls.

These were all wonderful warmed up and with a nice crispy salad.

The Little Organic Bakery - Bridlington

My friends in Bridlington have just launched their new venture, as previously mentioned,  and now they are officially open I feel happy to release some more details.

The Little Organic Bakery is run by Katy and you will find the most delicious sweet and savoury bakery items, in the most generous portions and fantastic value for money. Katy's son Oakley is running the Crema Espresso bar in the same building, pulling coffees from a fabulous retro looking hand pumped machine.
Go through to the back of the building and you will find Jean's gallery housing her atmospheric local photos and then upstairs you have a delightful range of textile gifts, many of which are made by Jenny, along with other treasures and sparkly things.

For anyone thinking of making a visit you will find the map and opening times below, head for number 12 Wellington Rd.

Last night I was invited to the launch and it was a marvellous and magical evening, of food, music and good company. The musician was Kristina Olsen, a Californian with a wicked sense of humour with the most amazing stories to tell through her songs and music, a really talented lady who I thoroughly enjoyed and she's currently on tour in the UK. She did 3 encores, we did have a break half way through for Katy's wonderful veggie curry, homemade bread, other nibbles and then choc mousse, lemon pot and cakes, wow it was a feast!
We participated in a raffle to raise a little cash for some good causes and a wonderful evening was had by all.
Thank you to the Wheelwright clan for creating a special little corner in Bridlington.
